Thank you for coming, we've created this theater explicitly for your pleasure. Here, we are talking about only one book. It's an emotional novel about courage, romance and our Black legacy. It's about the way Black and White people stood together through a capricious time, which has defiled our American History. Here was Africa. A place where it all began. Here was Mississippi. And here was Antoinette. A spectacular aristocratic plantation of antebellum cotton, beautiful women, slim cigars and Southern bourbon. But drastically beyond this elegant facade, here was a Southern lifestyle sadly corrupted with Black slavery.

Spirit Ran Free was a time in history that changed many lives . . . . And now then, at last the spellbinding courage of the Black slaves at a Mississippi plantation called Antoinette is told. They called these men The Africans.
